NNGS noname go server has free code.
It is possible to take code and modify for Shogi.

It is not impossible to use it to make server for
for shogi.
Go 9x9 13x13 and 19x19 board is standard format

So u can modify normal client to play shogi on Nngs.

Japanese Wing go server is maybe better  to insert shogi, because is japanes go
client.
And philosphy similar to fics and nngs.
