From: Pieter Stouten EU PNU COM> Date: 6 dec 2000 Subject: Italian Open Shogi Championship - final announcement Hello Shogi fans, This is the final announcement of the Second Italian Open Shogi Championship to be held on Saturday/Sunday 9/10 December 2000 (this upcoming weekend) in Conference Centre "Palazzo delle Stelline", Corso Magenta, close to the centre of Milan, Italy. Registration starts on Saturday at 9:00. The first round on both days starts at 9:30. The Italian Open is part of the Italian Mind Sports Olympiad "Giocchi Sforzeschi 2000," which features over 60 mind sports. It is also part of the European Grand Prix circuit. The tournament is open to everybody. Last year showed that even rank beginners will have a very enjoyable time. First ever European Champion Hans Secelle of Belgium has confirmed his participation in this year's event, along with players from Belgium, Norway, Germany, Netherlands, Italy, and Hiroyuki Tatsutomi and his son, who travel all the way from Japan to participate.
