I would just like to point out that the proposed new rule, that would
award a win to whoever's king reaches the opposing king square, would
not necessarily resolve all impasse situations. It is possible that
both players might be able to enter their kings, but neither could
reach their goal square. Such a circumstance would be rare indeed,
and I regret I don't have an example, but I believe it could happen,
so some sort of point-counting might still be necessary.
