From: Pieter Stouten SHOGI NET> Date: 8 aug 2000 Subject: MSO 2000 Shogi Festival: Logistics As usual, I request representatives of national organizations to pass on the relevant information in this mail to their members, who have no e-mail access. ACCOMMODATION & MEALS ===================== Access ------ Everybody who had requested accommodation in a student residence has been booked in (A) Wood Green Hall, (B) Rosebery Avenue Residence, or (C) North London University: . All residences are open 24 hours a day. After the regular desk staff has left at the end of the day, security personnel can let you in. Payment ------- All reservations at the residences have been prepaid, so no player needs to pay anything to the residence. However, the offer of free accommodation is valid only for the three nights of the ESC/MSOWSC (24, 25, 26 August). The costs of any additional nights (and the costs of accommodating non-playing partners) will have to be paid to the MSO organization *IN CASH* during the Shogi Festival. Breakfast --------- At (B) breakast is included, but not at (A) and (C). ESC/MSOWSC participants staying at (A) and (C) will get a breakfast allowance of 5 GBP for each day of the ESC/MSOWSC (25, 26, 27 August). The residences provide cooking facilities in the kitchens. A supermarket, cafes and take-away outlets are typically nearby. Other meals ----------- All currently registered ESC/MSOWSC participants will receive free lunches and dinners on Friday 25 and Saturday 26 August, and a free lunch on Sunday 27 August. We will have a semi-private room for our meals right outside the Londesborough room where the Shogi events take place. TRANSPORTATION AFTER THE ESC/MSOWSC =================================== The prize giving ceremony is scheduled to end at around 15:45 on Sunday 27 August. Immediately thereafter an 8-seat minibus will take people, who must leave in a hurry (e.g., to catch a Eurostar back to the continent), to Wood Green underground station. Hope to see you all soon, Pieter
