It mentions ICCA vol. 21 no. 4 but no further. Is this the same as "The Game of the Amazons" which is described at http://www.gamerz.net/~pbmserv ? 10x10 grid, 4 queens each, no captures, each move consists of moving one amazon and "shooting" an unoccupied square, rendering it out of play? Last to move wins? I apologize for pursuing a non-shogi thread, but I hope to save time for anyone whose curiosity is piqued. Anyway, it can be played on the intersections of a shogi board...
