I suspect that your opponent experience the dissconnection, or one of the hops drop out? That happens. Usually the connection will work around another way. I should imagine that the games are collected and added to their data base as part of a computer programming effort in artificial intelligence (ai). The lookup table of successful games is a way to cut down on the mistakes in programming logic. It is extremely difficult to include a vast number of possibilities and impossible to include all possibilities within the program logic.
