I am glad to inform the Shogi community about a newborn national
association:

                  ITALIAN SHOGI ASSOCIATION (AIS)

the association has a website:

http://www.shogi.net/ais/

and an e-mail: AIS <at> shogi <dot> net

Purpose of AIS is to increase knowledge of Shogi in Italy, to organize
Shogi events and tournaments, and to represent Italy in the
International Organizations.

Pieter Stouten (needless to say, a founding member!) is organizing the
first AIS meeting in Milan this November.

Please vist the AIS homepage and add the link to your webpage.
Foreign members are welcome! Please register to AIS, especially if you
like or plan to visit Italy.
