Subject: Zillions of Games Rules files for Micro and Kyoto Shogi

Hi,

This message is to announce that I've recently written Zillions of Games
rules files for the small shogi variants Micro (Poppy) Shogi and Kyoto
Shogi. The files can be downloaded from the Chess Variant pages at:

In order to play these games you'll need the Zillions of Games software.

I've also been working on Zillions implementations of a couple of other
shogi variants, namely Georg Dunkel's tiny 3x3 game Nana-shogi and the
large game Tenjiku Shogi.

The Nana-shogi implementation currently plays all of the rules except
the one preventing a player checkmating while they have pieces in hand.
Even without this rule it is stilll a challenging and intriguing little
game. If anyone is interested in this work in progress please let me
know and I'll e-mail it to you. Any suggestions on how to implement the
omitted rule would be greatly appreciated.
