     I met Mr. Shoshi on my last trip to Japan; we had dinner together.
I'm sure it's the same player as he mentioned his interest in Chinese
chess.  He is a six dan pro with a special interest in handicap shogi.  He
wrote a series of articles on the topic for Shogi Sekai stretching out over
more than two years, and is writing a book based on those articles.  We
discussed collaborating on an English shogi handicap book.
