Subject: Shogi cinema

As a newcomer to Shogi, I've been working through the books as you do =
and last night I wondered if there are any films in Japanese cinema that =
use Shogi as a theme. I'm sure there must be but the (few) Japanese =
films I've seen haven't featured the game. (Though something is tugging =
away at my memory...Throne of Blood? Can't recall.)

Western Chess has featured in many films from the original Thomas Crown =
Affair, through The Seventh Seal and, of course, the incomparable The =
Chess Players (which wonderfully and amusingly contrasts the Indian =
'slow' game with the European 'fast' game as a metaphor for British =
colonialism in India - any chess player, of any national game or =
variant, should seek this film out). Anybody know of any films featuring =
Shogi?
