Who wins the game? I think in any western shogi tournament I would say that such things may happen in actual play under some circumstances. When beginners play they can easily leave the king in check (maybe even checkmated?) whithout that ANY of the players notice for some moves. What if the checked player notice first, and just moves out of check? I guess he should get away with it then, but I do not know. I also think that the same thing can occur even to experienced players if they are in time trouble.
