Technically, it is Fort Vancouver, but 99% of the people just call it
Vancouver.  Here in Oregon, if I were to go out and talk to strangers about
"Vancouver", most would either assume I meant Vancouver, WA, or ask which I
meant.  Anyway, the whole issue is silly-- Vancouver, BC has a shogi
tradition, and Vancouver, WA does not.

It does, however, strike me that shogi in the Pacific Northwest has gone
downhill a lot from the eighties.  I wonder why?
