From: Odd Vidar Bakkejord HOTMAIL COM> Date: 15 jun 1999 Subject: Nordic Championship followup I reported a couple of disinformations concerning the "Nordic" Shogi Championship (Called "Scandinavian" also by Asle Olufsen in recent mailings) The mistakes were concerning points for the Norwegian group. There were 5 Norwegian players in the contest. 4 playing for Oslo and one for the Mixed/combined team. (Constituted by Erlend Bore from Norway and 3 Stockholmers) As previously mentioned there were 4 teams (Stockholm, Gothenburg, Oslo and the Mixed team) So naturally 3 rounds were played. Every player could achieve 3 points. I misreported that Asle Olufsen of Oslo(also called oluf) won all his games. Actually he did beat both the Chess IMs Hartmann and Moberg, but his last game against Jan Molin for the Mixed team he lost. Also I thought Antje Rapmund only won one game. This was wrong. She won her second game against the Mixed team. So I mixed up Oluf's and Antje's results in the last round when Oslo met the Mixed team. Sorry! Our players and their results were: Osloteam: 1. Asle Olufsen 2 points 2. Terje Christoffersen 0 points 3. Jarl-Ove Staurnes 2 points 4. Antje Rapmund 2 points Mixed team: 3. Erlend Bore 2 points. Terje Christoffersen played sharp, but he met very strong opposition, amongst others Carl Johan Nilsson. The total Norwegian score against Swedes were 7 out of 14. We got a total of 8 points out of 15 games, but I subtract the one game when a Norewgian met a Norwegian) A total score of 50 %.
