Dear Shogi Friends,

Over the next several weeks, the U.S. Shogi Federation will be collecting
material for the first issue of our quarterly newsletter.  I invite everyone to
send in material they'd like to see published when the newsletter comes
out in March.  We'd welcome stories, articles, game scores (with or without
analysis), tournament/match reports, art, photographs, haiku/tanka, or
introductions to other aspects of Japanese culture.  We also need
suggestions for the newsletter's title!  Please send those suggestions or
