The Fairbairn book is excellent too and can be obtained from George Hodges: G. F. Hodges, P.O. Box 77, Bromley, Kent, UK BR1 2WT The price is $25.00 US. I actually saw the Leggett book for sale not long ago in Border's (a bookstore chain in the US); it's not that great a book, though. I encourage dan-level shogi players to write their own books; I for one would be happy to buy them. Mike
