From: Chuck Smith MININGCO COM> Date: 12 feb 1999 Subject: Winning Tai Shogi I'm surprised no one said this before but after reading about Tai Shogi in New Rules to Classic Games by R. Wayne Schmittberger I found out that an interesting rule to Tai Shogi is that an Emporer (a.k.a. King) can in fact take the other Emporer when the other Emporer is unprotected. This means that a Tai Shogi endgame will result in a player taking out their opponent's emporer's last defenders. Any one else hear of this concept?
