That you quote the word "passing" shows that you realise that
there is no sense in which the Lion can be said to "pass" the A square
in the move that you are proposing.

What is more, it is inconceivable that anyone would want to pass in
such a situation, so trying to stretch the rules to accommodate it
seems pointless.

The igui move is a particular case of the Lion's double-move. To try
to make it a particular case of the jump move as well seems very
strange to me.
