I cannot make it at noon, but Shinichi Nishiyama san kindly agreed to be ther at noon (I should be able to arrive around 1 p.m.) , so that he can ask the receptionist to unlock the room. When you arrive, please tell at the Front desk that you have come for a Japanese chess tournament. If Nishiyama-san has not arrived, you can wait in the lobby. The 1999 Ohio Shogi Championship Organized by the Ohio Shogi Club (OSC). Non-OSC members are allowed in. Non-Ohio residents may play but cannot claim the Ohio championship. Date: Sunday, August 8, 1999 Format: 4 Round Swiss Tournament. Game in 30/30 (30 minutes and then 30 seconds byo-yomi) Times: Registration Noon-1:15 PM The first round starts at 1:30 PM Players: Currently, we are expecting players from 5 kyu to 2 dan Location: Jones Tower (Ohio State University Campus) 101 Curl Drive.
