From: Matt Casters ADVALVAS BE> Date: 2 aug 1999 Subject: Java Shogi & GSDB Dear Shogi-L, As you know (or should know) by now, the GNU Shogi Database can be used to decode game-scores created with other programs. For example, Reijer often publishes wonderful games made with his own program. Support for this has been in GSDB since more then a year. Now I've had a few request to implement the same decoding functionality for the game-scores generated by the Java Shogi applet by Ryo Neyama. Some players like to store the games in a seperate database. This functionality has now been implemented, but I would like to have some feedback from other players. Please send me some game-scores so that I can run some more tests before releasing it. (The most rediculous games first please! Let me have some fun debugging! ;-) In preparation of release 2.8. of the GNU Shogi Database, I would like some feedback on these functionalities and also on what new features you would like to see.
