8. German Open Hannover
Grand Prix Shogi Tournament

When:     10. and 11. October 1998.
          End of registration Saturday 10:30 Hrs.
          1st round 11:00 Hrs. We suggest you come on Friday evening.

Events:   To increase the interest for those players arriving
          on friday evening, we shall have a blitz tournament
          on friday.
          The format of the tournament will be MacMahon, but thinking
          time and no. of rounds has not been decided on yet. A minimum
          of 6 rounds will be played though.

          The playing site and the hotel are located next to each other
          in the old city of Hannover not too far from the centre.

Players of all strengths are most welcome.

In the last years the German Open had players of every strength
from 4. Dan to 13. Kyu, so that players of every calibre could
have interesting games. So, please do not think, you are not
strong enough for a shogi tournament.

Let me assure you: YOU ARE STRONG ENOUGH.
