From: Leung Kai Wan HKUSUA HKU HK> Date: 16 oct 1998 Subject: A tsume like problem Hi, I have composed a tsume shogi problem to illustrate the concepts of interposing pieces and drop pawn mate. The answer is long but straight forward. So I transform the problem as follows: Board configuration: Black: G3c White: K2a, P3a Black has 1 Lance and several Pawns in hand. Everything else except black's King belongs to white as usual. Question: How many pawns are needed (at least) for black to win? What are the moves? Your answers are welcomed to me in private, but not to the list. I shall post the answer to this list by next weekend. regards, Kai Wan Leung Hong Kong kaiwan graduate hku hk
