Probably not exactly what you really want, but something that can create a Shogi board configuration image is at . This CGI script intended use is for members of Norsk Shogi to verify their game scores in the PSN format before submitting to our database. But it can output a postscript or GIF image of a given board situation, and as such might help you. Unfortunate it is a bit awkward to enter a complete gamescore listing for just generating images of a board configuration. What might help is the use of the FEN header, by which you can specify a complete configuration on one line. Because of a "feature" in the program, you always have to submit a "move", but this can be restricted to '1.' (or '1...' for handicaps/gote to move). Example, by entering the followin two lines in the text area: [FEN "5B2g/5s1kl/5g3/9/8P/6N2/9/9/7+r1 0012001/T s 1"] 1. and selecting 'GIF -- one image' at the bottom selection box, you should receive an image of a tsume problem. I hope this might be of any help to you. Best regards Jarl Ove. -- Jarl Ove Staurnes - Software consultant/engineer Consilio Research - Consultation & Software development
