Andy,

1) Black looses too many moves building his (bad) castle.
2) White exchanges attacking for defending pieces and therefor keeps
   his attack going.
3) White attacks blacks castle while black doesn't bother.
4) 54. R*8g  55 B-7g       56 Rx8i+
   Black want to save his bishop, but allows hist king to be exposed.
   Perhaps he could have tried to grab the silver to parachute on 5a
   Speed is more important in the endgame then pieces !
   For example. G7h Rx8h+, Sx5g=, Sx5g, Bx5g+, R*4a and black's not in
   that bad a shape. He lost a silver, but gets a counter attack going.
