From: George Jost LSEC LETE DND CA> Date: 26 may 1998 Subject: Good guys and bad guys (Shogi uber alles) Ben made an interesting observation. Personally i think it is a bit extreme to discuss people who would destroy the game. I am not sure how one can destroy a game ... Suffice to say the Sam Sloan issue is now dying a quick death, but I think that it was relevant for people on the list to freely discuss the issue of what should/should not be discussed on the list. Other issues of broad interest to the list such as notation had simuliar fates; all of these drew alot of response but were eventually closed in an agreable manner. All of these discussions eventually reached overkill and died peacefully. The list lives on hopefully without anybody being permanently offended... >>> Ben F B AOL COM> 05/26/98 04:32pm >>> I suggest we all stop talking about Rights and who is right, and simply do what is right: talk about shogi, play shogi, and stand united against those who would destroy it.
