Subject: Shogi Variant?

Dear shogi players,

in Shogi Sekai of November 1996 on page107   I found something that looks like
a shogi variant. But as I do not speak any Japanese, I can not fully make
sense of it. I can guess the movement of all pieces except the pawn.

1. Who invented this variant (if it is one)? And what is it called?

2. How does the pawn move?

Any other information on that page would be usefull.
