If he is happy to do so, I think he should continue to do so. Before people start thinking that it is a good idea to start having ballots and other forms of palace revolutions in order to get this mailing list run more `democratically' (ie: more to *their* liking), I would suggest that they have a look at the current state of the newsgroup rec.collecting.stamps - a fine example of a newsgroup which has been renderd unusable because of factional electronic in-fighting between disparate groups of people who think that the group should be used for purpose X or Y, or that activity A or B should be barred. It has got so bad that I don't even look at the group any more, even though I am a keen philatelist. We do NOT want the shogi-l list to go down that road. Roger Hare
