Everyone could be saved a lot of trouble if this system were used, and the winners could get a free trip from the entry fees, saving lots of trips for lesser players. Also, each region is well-represented, strengthening shogi nationwide. Another idea might be to have one championship in the middle of the country (St. Louis, KC, Dallas). It all sounds good. Maybe we could find a way to implement it. I'd be willing. In the very least, details should be given months in advance. Doug Dysart
