I regret that the Challenge is taking yet another short
break (boo hiss).

My goal is and has been to have two new tsumeshogi every
week.  The interruptions are due to my inability to get
problems and permissions fast enough to keep up the pace.

I will post the next pair of problems as soon as possible,
hopefully next week.


This month's (April 98) Shogi Sekai magazine includes two
pamphlet inserts.  One of them contains 39 tsumeshogi by
our regular contributor, Hiroshi Homma 5-dan!  Solutions
range from 9 to 41 (!) moves.  The first 10 problems are
standard "tesuji" tsume, the remaining 29 feature "aigoma"
(interposition) themes.  Several of the problems have
already appeared in the Tsumeshogi Challenge.
