From: Colin Paul Adams COLINA DEMON CO UK> Date: 8 jun 1998 Subject: Who wins? Under the traditional rules for Tenjiku Shogi and Chu Shogi, the endgame King versus King is not a draw. Can anyone tell me a simple algorithm for determining which side wins? (For those of you who don't know these games (!!!!! - surely not?), they are play on a square board, 16x16 and 12x12 respectively. King moves as in Shogi/Chess. The repetition rule, which prevents a draw due to exhaustion of the moves space, is roughly: "Repetition of position is not allowed. A move that would cause the same position to occur with the same side to move is not allowed".) -- Colin Paul Adams Preston Lancashire
