From: Matt Casters INNET BE> Date: 10 feb 1998 Subject: GSDB 2.7 beta Hello Shogi friends, It's been a while since you heard any news from the Shogi Database. Well, some radical changes were needed and things could not get released after they were all implemented. A few : Multiple clients/boards Unlimited number of moves and variations. A Graphical game-tree window Better (hopefully) colors Instant switch between color and black&white screens. Reduced memory usage Better overview with the use of menus ... The whole GSDB client looks less like an applet and more like a real application, and it should. Please help me iron out the last details as my total amount of available time is limited to 25 hours a day. Check out : http://www.netpoint.be/~matt/2.7/ for the GSDB client version 2.7 beta. (total size is about 180k) In a week or two you can then expect the final version. Enjoy, Matt Casters matt innet be P.S. because of the way things are (re-)written now, you can expect a complete graphical java application and a native Windows95/NT executable in the near future. P.P.S. 8847 lines of source code are available at http://www.netpoint.be/~matt/2.7/java/client/ 4762 Feb 7 00:58 Client.java 2520 Feb 7 16:30 Comment.java 6358 Feb 9 22:15 Const.java 12649 Feb 7 16:39 Data.java 29645 Feb 9 20:56 Decode.java 12358 Feb 10 00:28 Game.java 4979 Feb 7 16:11 GameSelect.java 43146 Feb 9 20:56 Gen.java 95774 Feb 10 00:31 Gsdb.java 4016 Feb 7 19:31 Help.java 2782 Feb 8 12:14 MainGsdb.java 5092 Feb 5 23:00 Move.java 3485 Feb 9 22:33 MyDialog.java 6167 Feb 7 18:59 Search.java 3186 Feb 5 23:00 StreamAnalyser.java 7556 Feb 7 15:57 StreamListener.java 7120 Feb 9 23:16 varCanvas.java 2870 Feb 9 23:11 varChoice.java 7824 Feb 9 23:23 varFrame.java
