From: Engelhardt Alexander <101536.1704 COMPUSERVE COM> Date: 26 apr 1998 Subject: Intern.Shogi Tornament 1999 Japan Dear FESA representatives I suppose your national Shogi associations all received from Nihon Shogi Renmei (NSR) the documents relative to the First International Amateur Shogi Tournament in 1999 in Japan. Among others there was a form entitled „ The written Consent". The meaning of the positions „Planned venue „ and „planned date" on this form was not clear to me. I asked Mr.Onogi of NSR for explanations. This is what he replied and what he asked me to make known to the other Shogi Associations. Mr. Onogi supposes that there will be in the different countries candidate tournaments in order to establish who will have the honour to go to Japan for this First International Shogi Tournament. In the above mentioned form the „planned venue" refers to the location of this candidate tournament and the „planned date" refers to the date of this candidate tournament. So, when you send the form „The written consent" to the NSR be sure to fill in the correct data. Cheers Alexander Engelhardt Shogi Deutschland
