NORWEGIAN CHAMPIONSHIP!!! occasion of historical depth takes place
at our club site, University of Oslo, Institute of Informatics!!! The fight
will take place for the Norwegian Traveling Trophy directly imported from
Japan! Winner will also recieve Gold General Medal for life!

Time: Saturday 27.th of September at 11.00-18.00. You will meet 7 challengers.
Dig in for the battle of the Shogi Vikings!!! Join by mailing shogi <at> ifi <dot> uio <dot> no
or just DROP by within 10.30 on the tournament day. You will indeed become an
honorable member! Tournament is free of charge!!!

The best players will be ranked for the Norwegian National Shogi Team for the
upcoming match versus Sweden. See info about this below.

Playing Shogi: Mondays and Fridays 18.00 hours, the canteen at The "institutt

Kanji Kato of Japan our Master Instructor is teaching shogi lessons every
friday! 18.00 o'clock. Join in for Japanese Chess!

The weekend of 11.th and 12.th of October Norway will outplay Sweden in a
devastating match! The historical game will take place in Gothenburg October
11.th and 12th.
The team will consist of 6 players on each side. There will also be an
additional tournament simultaneously in Gothenburg, where non-team players may
