**** Royston Shogi Congress ****

Every September since 1987 the Royston Shogi Club has run a 1-day Shogi
Tournament in Royston, Herts, UK.  More recently the 3-round Shogi
Tournament, now known as the 'Doug McGown Memorial Shogi Tournament',
has formed part of the 1-day Royston Shogi Congress, along with the
British Open Tori-Shogi Championships and an all-play-all Mini-Shogi
(5x5 Shogi) Competition.

Date of next Congress:
Saturday 13th September 1997.       <<<======<

Venue:
Coombes Community Centre, Burns Road, Royston, Herts, UK.

Events:
(1) Doug McGown Memorial Shogi Tournament - 3-round Swiss/McMahon, 60
minutes clock time + 30 seconds byoyomi.
(2) British Open Tori-Shogi Championships - 5-round Swiss/McMahon, 45
minutes clock time + 30 seconds byoyomi.
(3) Mini-Shogi Competition - All-play-all, no time limits, winner will
be player with highest points total at 1830hr (2pt for win, 1pt for
defeat, 0pt for unplayed game).

1030hr.

Prize giving:
1830hr.

Entry fees:
GBP 7.00 for adults, GBP 3.00 for under-18 on 1st September
(GBP 1.00 reduction for Postal Shogi League (PSL) members - you can join
the PSL at the event!).       <<<======<
