From: Martin Danerud PARTILLE MAIL TELIA COM> Date: 31 may 1997 Subject: New web page! Dear shogi friends, What do the Swedish shogi players look like? How many are they, really? Why is the Swedish Shogi Federation a fast growing organisation? What have they done until now? What will they do in the future? Answers to questions like those can now be found more easily (in English as well as in Swedish). We hereby announce the web pages of The Swedish Shogi Federation: http://www.cd.chalmers.se/~ralf/shogi/index.html If you have a web page, and there is a spot in it where a link to us would be appropriate, we would really appreciate if you add one! The aim of our pages is threefold: 1) To give Swedish people curious about Shogi a chance to find and reach us on the net. 2) To give people from the rest of the world a chance to see that we exist, and that we do things. Relevant pages may be about our events, and about how to contact us. 3) To distribute information among our members, like tournament results, dates for meetings and so on. However, we do not match any of all the very professional pages that already exist. We have no Tsume school or Java Shogi applets. (Not yet anyway:-) If you are only interested in the game, many other pages may be better. Comments about these pages can be sent to cs chalmers se>, (maintaining the pages) or to partille mail telia com>, (president). Sincerely yours, Dr Martin Danerud President of the Swedish Shogi Federation
