or a few static pages (i.e., pages that are not generated on the fly) then
this may be useful. I found that it fails with about a third of the pages
as it cannot handle pages delivered by the newer Apache web servers. This
is unlikely to get fixed unless some generous soul shells out a substantial
amount of money to ensure further development of the software. I also
sometimes had problems retrieving the resulting pages with the gif files
that represent the kanji. Having said all that, I would recommend that
whoever is interested in looking at the occasional Japanese web page check
it out.
