Folks,

Based on the list of sites posted to this group, I tried various sites,
finding success only at:

Where, if you time it to Japanese time, there are lots of people playing
and the software works decently well. Two problems for me: one is language.
Only some of the players speak English and I don't speak Japanese. The
other is skill. I don't play well yet so I'm pretty sure I'm not giving
them much of a challenge as they cream me.

I have played four games there now. It beats playing against my Shogi
Master game, the only shogi-playing software I have found for PC or Windows.
