It's called the Microsoft Internet > Explorer version 3.02a. Also Netscape Navigator 3.01 for Win3.x supports Java. This may be more compatible with the JavaShogi site. (The JavaShogi usage notes say that the Win3.x version of Netscape Navigator won't work but it's unclear whether or not they're referring just to version 2.x) Go to http://home.netscape.com to download it and try it out. By the way, although I sympathize with your feelings regarding the advantages of something like a telnet site to play shogi (available to all) rather than a java site (available to some currently), I can't help feeling that the massive growth and advantages of the WWW combined with Java will more or less kill off technologies such as telnet in the not so distant future. IMNHO of course. Best wishes, Steve.
