It is, however, the most promoted computer, being backed by IBM. It is also worth noting that doubling a computers speed raises its rating by about 100 points. A similar relationship must exist in shogi. The art of programming games is assigning a number to a position. A computer can decide whether a position is good or bad. It is much easier to do this with chess than with Shogi. Go is probably the most difficult of all.
