According to my information, it will take place in Brussels (Ganshoren)
from Friday 22 until Sunday 24 August. The first round of the dan-group
will start on 22 August at 13:00. The tournament of the kyu-group will
start on Saturday 23 August. I am not sure, but I think one can register
with Matt Casters <matt <at> netpoint <dot> be>.

Also, for those keen on playing more Shogi that week, I can wholeheartedly
recommend the Shogi tournament that is part of the Mind Sports Olympiad. It
will take place from Monday 18 until Thursday 21 August, each day from
10:00 until 14:00. There will be more than enough time to take the Chunnel
train from London to Brussels if one wants to participate in both the MSO
and EC. Substantial amounts of sponsorship money are available for the MSO
and the first prize in the tournament will most likely cover a round trip
America-Europe (or maybe even Japan-Europe) airplane ticket easily! More
