I had had the idea in my head for many days, ever since learning the game. As soon as my set arrived, the first thing I did was attempt to compose a problem on the theme (every move suicide). I did it very quickly (less than five minutes), as I was anxious to start analysing the opening (as I am writing a book on the game). As a result, not only is the problem short (only three suicide moves), but it is actually imperfect (at the end, White can interpose his Fire~Demon, forcing you to capture it with a non-suicide move). Benjamin> tsume shogi). so if anybody has any more tenjiku shogi Benjamin> problems, please, send Benjamin> them out, i'm definitely interested in seeing them. Me too. I have a whole Chapter in my book dedicated to all known tenjiku mating problems. So far there is only one! I challenge people to compose a longer problem where every move is suicide (if White puts up the best defence), including the last (if possible). -- Colin Paul Adams Preston, Lancashire, England colin colina demon co uk
