I do not know if Patrick already wants to "release" his applet. There are some drawbacks: 1) Both of the programs are quite new and are likely to contain bugs. 2) Since both programs are very new, they are likely to change in the future (like new features). But if you need something real soon, it may be a help. 3) I have written ShogiViewer during a prolongued holiday. I do not know if I have a lot of time to continue working on it in the future but I do hope so. I am not sure about the support for ShogiBoard but Patrick seems very driven to keep supporting the applet.
