Subject: GSDB 1.8.2

Dear Shogi-friends,

I have just released a new and improved version of the
Gnu Shogi Database.  It now contains 56 games and examples.
For example you can review all 33 "first 30 move examples" by
Mr. Manabu Terao. (I will keep these up to date)
The previous versions contained some nasty bugs and I would like
to thank you for your patience in those cases something went wrong.

As before, you can find the gsdb-homepage at :

Bugs that are now fixed :
-------------------------

- it was impossible to enter data on some browsers
- the database got corrupted in some cases if you changed fields
- if you entered a ',' or '=' as data the applet would crash.

New in this version :
---------------------

from now on GSDB
- sorts the games-list on the following criteria :
    1) tournament
    2) round
    3) date
- indexes the database and things rund a bit faster now.
- can search via the html-code for criteria. (ex. date=1997*)
- contains at least some documentation as a FAQ :
