From: Matt Casters INNET BE> Date: 10 dec 1997 Subject: GSDB Update Dear Shogi friends, After some time of GSDB inactivity, I am pleased to announce a new development in the Java World. The new development allows me to create stand-alone applications for you, so you can use GSDB without too much hassle. For the moment this can only be done for Windows95, WindowsNT, AIX and OS/2 You can try out http://www.netpoint.be/~matt/serv-261.zip (691k) This contains an Windows 95/NT executable called Server.exe The steps to full database success are now : Download gsdb-261.zip archive. Uncompress it in a directory (example: c:\gsdb\) download serv-261.zip executable. Uncompress it in the server directory (example: c:\gsdb\java\server\) run Server.exe Start Netscape and open the index file (example: c:\gsdb\index.html) That's it. I have to warn you that this uses a lot of memory but if you have more then 16Mb it should work. You can expect a new version of GSDB some time next week. Cheers, Matt P.S.
