From: Sam Sloan BEST COM> Date: 27 apr 1997 Subject: Re: Ishi Press Both of those addresses of Ishi Press are no good any more. The San Jose California address is definitely bad. That address was vacated on May 1, 1995. A California renegade group has essentially stolen the Ishi Press name, but they do not have permission to reprint any Ishi Press books and they sold out of our books long ago. If you hear of the California Ishi Press selling any Ishi Press books please let us know because these are pirated books illegally reprinted. They do not pay the authors any royalties, among other things. There is a major court case going on in San Jose California federal court over this. The Japan Ishi Press has moved. Because of the afore mentioned litigation, no new Ishi Press books are being published. None of the members of the renegade group in California play go at all, so they will not be publishing any go books. Go books are now sold through Yutopian Enterprises in Santa Monica California and through Shack en Go in Holland. I advise you to contact them. If you have any special requests which they cannot supply, please contact me. One casualty of this is that Shogi for Beginners by John Fairbairn, an Ishi Press book, will not be reprinted, at least not until the litigation is settled in our favor. I have several web pages dealing with this situation. One of these is at: http://www.ishipress.com/summary.htm Sam Sloan, President Ishi Press At 10:15 AM 4/27/97 +0200, you wrote: >Could someone mail me the postal addresses of the Ishi Press both in Japan >and the USA?
