From: Jens Mueller-Koppe GESCHICHTE UNI-BREMEN DE> Date: 16 sep 1996 Subject: I am sorry for any troubles (Re: KIWAME) (The following mail I wrote Friday morning - it came back because (I think) technical problems. I hope this time it will pass through.) Dear Iwakura-san! I am very sorry for any troubles the mail "Re: KIWAME" caused. And I can understand everybody who calls not only this mail but also me "stupid" for this. This mail was not written by me, but from one of my students who had access to my computer at the University. It was send in my name, but not from me! I am very pleased that Pieter Stouten sent a declaration to Shogi-L yesterday in which he pointed out this fact and that he didn`t blamed me as guilty as it must look to all of you from the first look. And I am pleased to hear that Mr. Stouten did everything to make you all delete the mail and delete it even in the mirror. Of course the Shogi-L is not at all responsible for this catastrophy! Both me and my family are really in fear that I may have big troubles because of this act from my university computer. Please believe me that I not at all and never had the plans to distribute illegal software - and I don`t want to cause any trouble for the Shogi-L neither. I really love shogi much to much, got access to the game and shogi players only through the internet and just played my first tournament to do such stupid things. My computer at the university is looked now, I deleted all game software from it as a consequence and I contacted even the university staff yesterday to get more security. I am afraid I can`t do anything more now. I hope you (and all shogi friends on Shogi-L) will not blame me personally. Jens Mueller-Koppe
