We just got confirmation from Nihon Shogi Renmei that Mr. Kitajima Tadao 4.Dan
Pro
 will definitely come to the German Open.  Here some information about him taken
from
Shogi Nenkan 95: - born Tokyo 4.Jan.66./ 1980 enters as 4 kyu the  Shogi-school
of
Sekine Shigeru 9.Dan./ 1995 promotion to 4.Dan./ Hobbys among others:  PC and
english.

--- 6th German Open----
When: 19.and 20. October. End of registration 10.00 Saturday. First round 10.30.
             We suggest you come on Friday evening.
Where: In the " Rathaus " of Weilburg. This is a small town about 50 km
north-west
              of Frankfurt between Giessen and Limburg.
Format: 5 rounds Swiss or MacMahon System depending on how many players we have.
                1hour per player and 30 sec byoyomi.
Entry fee: 25,- German Marks; members of Shogi Deutschland 10,- DM
Accomodation: We guarantee hotel accomodation for 20 players served on a first
comes first
                basis. So confirm your attendance early. When needed we will try
to organise further
                accomodation, but only in case of early registration ( until
beginning of October)
                The place is the Hotel Garni " Zum Weilburger Loewen",
Frankfurter Str.27. There
                are 2 to 3 bed rooms. Cost is 40,- DM/night.
                Booking is possible starting from Friday evening.
