W. Schmittberger only 8 kyu? I suggest you make this shodan, and adjust other grades accordingly. I am planning to move to Galway in Ireland, just as soon as I can sell my house. When I get there, I plan to run an Oriental Games Week, in August 1998 (and bi-annually thereafter). The main events will be Go, Shogi and Chu Shogi, but there will also be side events in the evening. Tori Shogi will either be an evening side event, or, if there is enough interest, a main event. Likewise for other Shogi variants if enough interest is shown. Also, there will be a prize for the person who learns the most new (to that person) games during the week. This will be a good opportunity of increasing the number of Shogi variants players. -- Colin Paul Adams Preston, Lancashire, England colin colina demon co uk
