Dan pro, how they get the latest professinal games. He told me that they get it mainly on disk and that their programs have databases too. It seems, this kind of software exists then. But I wonder whether this is of any use to us poor people outside of Japan. So, why not produce something ourself. I think I would help if my help is of any use. It would certainly benefit the editors of western shogi magazines. Is there such a thing for shogi ? A collection of professional games for example ? If such a thing does not exist, I wouldn't mind starting a project myself. Maybe we could make a web-client for entering games and a database for PC/mac/Unix. This would surely benifit people who would like to study shogi and learn more from professional games.
