From: "Jose E. Gomez" NEURO MED UMN EDU> Date: 24 may 1996 Subject: JavaShogi I just got a game on the JavaShogi program and had a few problems that hopefully the authors could help me fix. I am using Netscape 3.0 Gold and had the following difficulties: - The pieces were undecipharable. The designs were just a bunch of dots. When the piece was selected, I could see what it was; but since I could not select my opponent's pieces, I lost track of what the pieces were about half way through the game. - I was unable to promote my pieces. - I was unable to converse with my opponent to explain to him/her my difficulties. I hope these things can be fixed, it seems to be an excellent forum to play a quick game against a human opponent. I have always disliked the shogi server due to its lack of a graphical interpreter, which are abundant for playing go. Thanks, Jose
