Kiwame II (almost but not quite complete) "cheat sheet":
After starting Kiwame you get the

Main menu

1 new game

3 replay game

5 solve tsume (<= 19 zetten)

Playing with plain DOS, you don't see nothin' (except some katakana
sometimes), but your selections will be highlighted as black blocks.)
-Move around in menu with mouse or with cursor keys.
-Select: mouse left button click or Enter.
-Back to previous menu: mouse right button click or Esc (except in submenu 4).
(You know you're back in the main menu when pressing Esc no longer makes the
highlighted
black block flimmer.)
(Don't use Ctrl or Alt (?) unless you love the unexpected or know what
you're doing ! I fiddled around a bit with pressing left-Ctrl + some random
keys -- forgot which -- and Kiwame jumped to DOS and DOS threw an error
message at me and I just had to reset my machine and was very relieved
nothing really bad had happened...)


1. Submenu: new game

1.1 begin play
1.2 who gets sente (black)
1.3 who gets gote (white)
1.4 start position
1.5 options/setup
1.6 study

1.2/1.3 ->
        1.21  you (play sente / gote) (default = you sente, Kiwame gote)
        1.22  kiwame normal [katakana]
        1.23  kiwame hyper [katakana]
        1.24  kiwame time-system (haven't tried this out, so I don't know
what this means exactly)

1.22 -> 1.221 level 0   [katakana]
        1.222 level 1
        1.223 level 3
        1.224 level 4
        1.225 level 5

1.23 -> 1.231 hyper 0   [katakana]
        1.232 hyper 1
        1.233 hyper 2
        1.234 hyper 3

1.4  back to start position (of a normal game)

1.5 ->  1.51  show thoughts on/off (defaults to ON, but better left OFF)
        1.52  normal/fast thinking

1.6 -> 1.61 to 1.64 (not yet tried out)

2. Submenu: file
----------------

2.1 load
2.2 save

2.1/2.2 -> gives a DOS-like prompt where you can choose (or type) a filename
and save your game or restore a saved game

3. Submenu: replay game
-----------------------

3.1 go back to beginning (first move)
3.2 go to end of game (last move)
3.3 go one move ahead
3.4 go back one move
3.5 study game(s)

4. Submenu: options/setup
-------------------------

4.1 equal game
4.2 2 piece handicap (is the only handicap available)
4.3 tsume input (1 King)
4.4 tsume input (2 Kings)
4.5 cancel
4.6 end setup (OK)
(You can only get out of this submenu by selecting 4.5 or 4.6 !)

6. Submenu: more
----------------

6.1 joseki editor (+one extra submenu underneath, not yet lookes at)
6.2 switch pieceset
6.3 QUIT
